DAY 2: MILAN – SWISS & ITALIAN ALPS

Buon Giorno and welcome to Milan. Upon arrival  we are off to discover the sights and sounds of Milan starting with the beautiful Duomo”, this is one of the largest churches in the world! This Gothic marvel of white marble is both colossal and ethereal, with belfries, gables, panicles and statures. Later we continue to the beautiful resort town of Stresa situated along the crystal-clear waters of Lake Maggiore with beautiful botanical gardens, stunning villas and framed by the backdrop of the majestic mountain peaks of Swiss Alps – the Italian and Swiss Lake region – amazingly beautiful.   
 
Lake Maggiore is Italy’ international lake – Its northernmost point lies in Switzerland, while its Italian side borders both the Piedmont region to the west and the Lombardy region to the east.

DAY 5: VENICE EXCURSION

A full day at leisure to relax and enjoy at your own pace or  you may wish to join us on an optional tour to the floating city of Venice- “The Queen of the Adriatic.”  There is no normal life here, everything floats!  Venice the most charming and poetic city in the world defies description!  Our visit begins at Saint Mark Basilica, with its beautiful display of Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissanceinfluences, followed by a leisurely stroll through the elegant Piazza San Marco.                        
Free time to enjoy a delicious cup of cappuccino in one of St. Mark’s cafes or take an optional romantic gondola ride through the winding canals of Venice.  After some free time for shopping, we return to our hotel.

DAY 7: DUBROVNIK, CROATIA

Today we arrive in Dubrovnik – “The Pearl of the Adriatic” - with its magnificent 16th century white stone walls and orange-roofed ramparts.  Its street life and medieval character are punctuated by the blend of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture.  Relax on board ship or join us on an optional excursion and discover the beauty and charm of Dubrovnik. . . See the perfectly preserved Rector’s Palace, elaborate Onofrio’s Fountain, and baroque St. Blaise’s Church, named after the city’s patron saint.  See the Franciscan Monastery, containing a restored sculpture of the Pieta and a gorgeous cloister dating back to the 14th century housing the oldest Pharmacy in the world.

DAY 13:  ROME – THE ETERNAL CITY – SAINT PETER BASILICA

Welcome to Civitavecchia Gateway to the Eternal City of Rome. After disembarking our floating hotel, we board our awaiting motor coach and depart for the vibrant, bustling city of Rome where more than 2000 years of history make a starling contrast to modern vitality. Rome has attracted travelers and pilgrims alike throughout the past centuries. Our tour begins with a visit to Saint Paul Outside the Walls, followed by a breathtaking visit of Saint Peter Basilica  the largest church in the world. Laterwe enjoy the sights and sounds of Rome . . . Starting with Capitoline Hill-one of the most important hills in Ancient Rome… Marvel at the ancient Imperial Palacesatop the Palatine Hill,overlooking the Circus Maximus . Visit  Saint John Laterano – Rome’s Cathedral – seat of the Bishop of Rome – Pope Leo XIV, and Sainta Maria Maggiore to see the tomb of Pope Francis before arriving at your hotel.
