DAY 3: WELCOME ABOARD YOUR DELUXE CRUISE SHIP
After a leisurely breakfast, we head to Canada Place and board our awaiting grand floating hotel, Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas. It’s time to raise the bar on adventure — with 360-degree views of the world from 300 feet above sea level in the North Star observation capsule — the Guinness World Record holder for the tallest viewing deck on a Cruise ship.
Enjoy your luxurious floating hotel while dining on extensive menus from our signature kitchen. Savor the perfect blend of Old-World recipes and New-World flair, followed by delicious desserts. DAY 4: CRUISING – ALASKAN GRAND INSIDE PASSAGE
Awaken to a glorious view of the sun glimmering on the snow-capped peaks while enjoying a delicious made-to-order breakfast. Today, you cruise through the pristine Alaskan inner waterways, where one lovely prospect succeeds another. Its fjord-like passages are framed by towering forests and dotted with emerald islands. Look shore-side for signs of wildlife, catch a glimpse of sea lions, porpoises, and whales off the bow, or witness the majestic soaring of the Bald Eagle.
Your ship gives you a front row seat to the magic in action! In the evening, enjoy live music in the lounges, relax with a glass of wine at the Piano Bar, or treat yourself to a massage. DAY 5: SITKA
This morning, we arrived in the picture-perfect Sitka. The beautiful copper-green onion domes of St. Michael’s Cathedral (Sitka’s most prominent landmark) are your first clue that Sitka was once a key Russian settlement. Sitka was once the capital of Russian America, and the most important port on the West Coast for the first half of the 19th century. Stand on the spot where the United States bought and took possession of Alaska in 1867, with its dramatic backdrop of Mt. Edgecumbe Volcano. This is one of the most photographed panoramas in the Great North. You will love Sitka!
DAY 6 TRACY ARM GLACIER - JUNEAU
Tracy Arm Glacier is one of Alaska’s most famous glacier observation areas. Tourists have been visiting this spectacular site for more than 100 years. Today you’ll experience Ice-Age wonders as you watch, awe-struck, as giant pinnacles of ice crack off the face of the glacier and float off as icebergs into the sea. The captain brings the ship in close so you can see it all! Feast your eyes on the spectacular Glacier as you enjoy a hot cup of rich, smooth cocoa or traditional creamy Dutch pea soup, brought right to your deck chair.
This afternoon, we sail into the picturesque port of Juneau, Alaska’s Capital, one of the largest wilderness areas in the United States. Named after Joe Juneau, who discovered gold in the area in 1880, this settlement became the mining center of Alaska. Stroll amongst lovingly restored buildings in the historic People’s Wharf neighborhood or explore the superb Alaska State House, Governor’s Mansion, and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. If you wish, you can join us on an optional excursion to Mendenhall Glacier, the only glacier in Southeast Alaska accessible by road. Mendenhall’s grand edifice plunges from the Immense Juneau Icefield. Dropping 4500 feet for over 13 miles. It’s active face regularly calves big icebergs that crash into its lake. Afterward, pop in and wet your whistle with a cool drink at Juneau’s famous RED DOG SALOON.
